How do I avoid fraudulent ticket sellers?

If you see tickets for hundreds or thousands of dollars, you are probably buying from a third-party ticket broker. There is no guarantee these tickets are genuine.

While it’s tempting to get tickets any way you can, there are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. HAMILTON tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged. Tickets can be resold on the official Ticketmaster site or gifted in hard copy. If you would like to gift tickets that are being held at Will Call, please contact the Richard Rodgers Box Office as the name on the tickets must match the photo ID of the individual who picks them up.

How long is the show?

HAMILTON is 2 hours 45 minutes including intermission.

Is there an age recommendation?

Since HAMILTON contains some strong language, the show is recommended for ages 10+. Infants are not allowed in the theater. Children 4 years of age and above are permitted but must have their own ticket.

What should I know about facilities at Richard Rodgers Theatre?

The Richard Rodgers Theatre was built in 1925 and therefore has no elevators or escalators. If you are sitting in the mezzanine or rear orchestra, please know that you will be required to walk up multiple flights of stairs. 

 

All patrons are required to go through metal detectors. Please allow extra time upon arrival. All guests entering the Richard Rodgers Theatre will be screened prior to entry. The items listed below are not permitted. Do not carry any of the items into the security screening area. Items that are confiscated may not be returned. If you are unsure about an item, please don’t bring it with you.

  • All weapons, including firearms, ammunition, knives, swords, scissors, OC spray (mace), and any dangerous items are strictly prohibited
  • Outside food and beverage
  • Large professional camera and video recording equipment (may be checked at coat check)
  • Flashlights and laser pointers
  • Illegal substances
  • Noisemaking devices and fireworks
  • Firearms
  • Weapons

The Richard Rodgers Theatre has the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not adhere to this policy.

Are there any accommodations for those with special needs?

GalaPro is available for all performances of HAMILTON. HAMILTON can provide a copy of the script in Braille upon request.

The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway is wheelchair accessible and there are no stairs to enter the theater. There are hearing aids for those who require them, and special seating is available for those in need. Freestanding chairs are also available in the Richard Rodgers boxes for those who are not comfortable in a traditional theater seat. There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom located in the inner lobby.
